Local Fitness and Health

Billings Montana has a new place to go for health and fitness information!  Inspired by the Let’s Move! Campaign by Michelle Obama, this new set of web sites helps you find up-to-date facts and resources for child obesity and general health at a local setting.  Find local events and activities that you can participate in as well as local fitness centers and stores to provide what you need to get and stay healthy.  Nutrition and exercise information is provided as well, and with the new Health Tracker system, you can keep track of your health easily online and on your mobile phone.  This new great web service is developed specifically for residents of Billings, Montana, but works great for people anywhere!

Let’s Move Billings developed by Alan Hardman, Michael Siebert, and Tucker Downs.

New Realtime Social Site

With the recent updates to our Xusix social network, we’ve built a new network on the WordPress framework called Xusix Lite.  This site is designed for rapid Twitter-like updates with the added functionality of inline comments, realtime updates, and full support for media of all kinds.  A built-in photo and video uploader handles any media you want to post, and it has an automated system for posting quotes, links, and full blog-style updates.  Direct Twitter integration is our next big feature to push, along with in-line spell and grammar checking for posts, which is partially working at the moment.

New Updates

With the introduction of several Alanaktion web site features comes an incredible new update for all of our services: Single-Sign-On!

Single Sign On is a system that will allow you to sign in once to this site, and automatically signed in to all of our other services!  We will also be introducing signup through other services such as Facebook and Google, with the possibility of support for full OpenID authentication on all of our web sites.  Existing accounts across our entire network will be merged with global accounts over the next few weeks, and the new SSO system will be ready for use then.  For anyone who has already registered for a blog account here, but has not yet logged in to another site through their Alanaktion ID, we will be creating one based on any existing accounts, and will notify you when this occurs.
